Safety Testing
CMG provides testing services and complete product evaluation to European, International, and Domestic Standards. Unlike other labs, we do more than simply pass or fail the product's performance. Our safety engineers aid in the complete process of testing, identifying safety issues, providing customer solutions and obtaining safety certifications.

The Low-Voltage Directive (LVD), 2006/95/EG
The LVD is an electrical safety directive and applies to products and equipment for which the hazards are primarily of an electrical nature and that operate between 50 and 1,000 Vac or 75 and 1,500 Vdc. The LVD's "essential requirements" have been in effect since 1973 and mandate conformity for all safety aspects of electrical products, including those of mechanical origin.
These standards may be applied immediately to demonstrate presumption of conformity with the LVD Directive. They must be applied on or before the presumption of conformity cessation dates.
