CE Mark Testing
CE Mark and testing have been a focus for CMG since early in 2002. We have assisted many manufacturers in obtaining a CE Mark. CMG has served a variety of manufacturers as a full-service third-party test and product compliance test laboratory.
Step 1. We have a meeting to learn about the product, its characteristics, its applications and geographical market territory. During this conversation, the manufacturer also learns about the CE Mark process and information on the directive(s) that the product is required to meet.
CE Mark Directives:
- CE Mark Low Voltage Directive
- CE Mark Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive
- CE Mark Machinery Directive
- CE Mark Radio Equipment and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment and the Mutual Recognition of their Conformity
- CE Mark Medical Device Directive
Step 2. CMG will devise a test schedule that meets the objective of the test program and your goal of CE Mark Compliance. Testing will take place and the client will receive daily updates of the tests performed and their results. If in fact failures or non-conformances are found then CMG will contact the company representative (assuming they are not present for testing) to share the results and suggest modifications or solutions for the client to consider. This feedback and guidance during the test process is the key to completing the CE Mark test program in a timely and cost effective manner.
Upon completion of the CE Mark tests, CMG will prepare a detailed test report that contains all of the test results and any modifications required in order to pass the requirements of the test standard. Upon compliance of the CE Mark directive requirements, CMG will provide a Declaration of Conformity, in draft form, and instructions on the CE Marking.
